Sometime in 8-10 weeks. I would guess that they either have completed or are near completing the ads.

5 more things you need to do ASAP.
1) Contact local congressman and provide the 485 details, have them contact USCIS.
2) Contact local Sentor and provide the 485 details, have them contact USCIS.
3) Have your attroney conact USCIS abotu the case
4) Try calling USCIS from your side, if you are lucky you get to the 3rd level and you can provide your details .
You might ask, how do you know all this crap. I did port from EB3, did all the above 4 and that worked out for me. I think item (1) or (4) worked for me but I am not sure.

My PD is current for more than 2 months. Below are the actions I have taken till now and still no approval.
1. Created SR on 3/3/2011.
2. InfoPass on 4/19/2011. Not much info was obtained. Only stated that my file was last touched in Jan 2011. It was the same time frame when I had my AP renewal done. Provided NSC follow up email address.
3. Email sent to NSC follow up on 04/19/2011. Received a response on 04/21/2011 with the following
"Service records indicate your file has been assigned to an officer. I am unable to predict when a decision will be made on your application or when you will receive your Permanent Resident Card. If you have not received your document, a decision or other notice of acti ison within 30 days of the date of this response then you will need to place a Case Status Inquiry by phoning 800-375-5283. "

Well... I already tried using google and didn't find a good list... and actually... decided to download VB 2008 Express edition yesterday, and it turned out that it comes with a list of the new things it has ^^U... also, according to the Wikipedia VB 2008 it has a true ternary operator in order to replace the Iif function, but I haven't seen anything regarding this :?.
I would suggest you to download and use VS 2008 so that you get a feel of it. I am running VS 2005 and VS 2008 in the same machine (Vista Ultimate). I was previously running Beta 1 in the same way. There is nothing to fear ;)

My lawyer asked me to mail again with a cover letter saying that since my checks were not cashed even after 60 days I am mailing again. I asked the clerk to ignore the new application if they see my original application by the time they open this.
IMHO, this is INSANE. No wonder, USCIS is going to take FOREVER to even issue receipt notices. A concerning mistake on original submission is one story but to reapply just because no receipt was issued is another!

The response has been sluggish, especially due to people who just visit this website and hope that "others" will work on this issue and get this resolved.
However, as far as the rally goes, its too early to tell whether we can do better than illegals in terms of showing up for our cause or not. I guess we can and I hope to see it.
Someone from Northern VA, DC, Maryland, please volunteer and contact black_logs@yahoo.com to seek permit for public rally near capitol Hill/White House etc. Without that permit, this isnt going anywhere. Others please sign up on the thread titled "Sign up for rally for legal immigrants".

We should keep it into consideration that EB3 does not even require a degree. 2 years experience is the minimum requirement for EB3 if its described as a non-professional position in your LC. However, you can only explore this before filing for LC.

Yeah you guys are right.. In fact it is not at all unjust how USCIS is treating our PR applications, neither do we have any rights to demand for faster processing and transparency in the way USCIS work or that the money spent on application fees are not service charges. I totally agree that we deserve the crap we are being melted out by USCIS. Let us keep waiting till our destiny unfolds before us.

As pointed out, the question is incorrect. You can do both (Transfer your H1 and use AC21). Technically, once you are past 180 days of I485 pending your GC application belongs to you. The only hitch here is you would need to maintain the same / similar employment.
If you have an option of transferring your H1 to a new employer (post 180 days of I485 app) - I would strongly recommend you do so. EAD for all it is worth needs to be renewed and throws you out of status if your GC application gets into trouble (God forbid).

One thing the attorney, mentioned in your post, failed to mention that H1B petition is linked to LCA and the employment letter included at the time of petition. If the employment letter (or job offer4 letter) mentions it is full time job then any significant change in that will require H1-B amendment. It is very common to file H1B amendment for changing from full time to part time, changing job location, or changes in job duties.
One more thing, may I add here, is the universities tend to follow H1B rules and regulation more strictly then small time consulting shop.
Let me know, if you still believe that significant changes in job hours does not involve H1-B petition amendment.

What is to stop them to refuse all immigration....remember its not a right! make you pack your bags and leave, if they want.
