Look for postings on indeed.com...this site actually pulls data from various sites...you might also have contacts of the recruiters in the postings sometimes.
Also there is Monster,Corp-Corp.com,Dice, Hotjobs,Net-temps. You can look up the recruiter info from the postings and call them to see if they have any openings.

I am moving this weekend.....I have heard that USPS will not forward mail to the new address and hence I need to use Ar-11 to change address
My wife and my EAD's were mailed Nov. 27 and should arrive in a week I guess. however I will not have keys to the mailbox then. Rather than change address immediately with USCIS can I just have USPS hold my mail for a few days. That way my EAD wont be sent back to USCIS.
Will this work? Or do I have to bite the ubllet and change my address and have my EAD returned to USCIS and wait till they send it out again.
Please advice

Hello All,
I am in critical situation advice me ASAP.

Got H1B approval and my employer filed for change of status I-797 ( H4-H1B).in the month of MARCH 2008. Got SSN in the month of April 2008.
My employer didn't place me in any of the project and not even pay me anything since 1 yr.
Recently my husband got his H1B Transfer and extended until sep 2011.
When my husband applied for his transfer I didn't apply for H4 as I am on H1-B Status.
Now I came to know that I should not live in US more than 1yr with out any Pay stubs .
So I am Planning to go India and get back to H4 visa.
1. So what are the different scenarios to get the H4 Visa ?
2. Will the US consulate people ask about my H1 payslips and all when I go for H4 Visa stamping?
3. I don't have any payslips anything so will i get H4?
4. Can I make a complaint to INS labor on my employer and keep the complaint safe side when I go to US consulate?
5. Should I mention about my H1-B or just wait until the US consulate people ask about my H1B?

Here is my case:
7th year H1 extension expring Feb 2008
I-140 approved in 2006
485/EAD/AP notices received 2 week go.
Now the questions are...
1) What is the advantage of getting H1 extension(once I get the EAD) ? Is it worth ?
2) What is the risk of changing employers after 180 days?
3) What if I continue on H1(same employer) even after getting EAD and if 485 denied ?
4) What if I change my employer and 485 denied ?
5) If my 485 denied and Can I stay as long as my H1 expires(same employer) or has to leave the country immediately?
Any answers or other suggestion would be greatly appreciated........

1 year extensions:
Looks like the question comes from the point of 7th year extension and changeing employer from employer that started labor and new employer. Even if your 7th year extension is not applied or not approved from the company that applied your labor, you can apply for H-1B transfer along with H-1B 7th year extension with the new company giving evidence that your Labor indeed was pending for more than 365 days. You do not need apply and wait until you get 7th year extension with your current employer in order to join a new employer. This way you are making INS rich by giving two fees' to get the H-1B approval for the same period.
7th,8th...year extensions are allowed even with the new employer based on the evidence that your labor or I-140 is pending for more than 365 days before your 6 years H-1B date is reached.
3 year extensions:
Once I-140 is approved you can get three year extensions provided you are subjected to retrogression, ie you cannot apply for I-485 because of retrogression or even though your I-485 is applied, you cannot get approval because your PD is not current. In this situation you can get 3 year extensions with the company through which your I-140 is approved and also from a new company along with H-1B transfer you can request 3 year extension showing the approved I-140 from old company and showing the proof that you are indeed subjected retrogression.
PD portability:
Once the I-140 is approved the alien owns the Priority Date and this date is inter transferable between EB applications (1,2 and 3). Alien owns the PD even if the I-140 is revoked by employer. The only case this PD is not owned by alien is when USCIS revokes the I-140 because it is fraudulent.
Hope things are clear here.

Madhu, AP has nothing to do with work authorization. In order to work you need either H1B appoval or EAD. AP or Visa is used to enter inside the country and that has nothing to do with work authorization. I have used AP several times and contnued with H1B and even got H1B extension with I-94. The only confusing thing is going out of the country while H1B transfer is pending and entering on AP to continue on H1B. Can you educate me? How does this violate LCA and trigger NOID?

It was a great feeling to be part of this rally.
I somehow feel ,may be in future,a common dress code could make a huge visual impact- like everybody wearing same T-shirts with appropriate words/slogans.
When 300-400 people wear similar T-shirts,that itself catches public eye.
Need time and money for all that,but a well done event in the end.
Although it was a decent sized crowd,I am sure there were many around San Jose who didnt make it to this rally.With so many big corporate houses around,I am sure there would be at least around 2000+ people around here,who are affected by July Visa Bulletin. I guess people should not just sit at home and browse forums,but try and actively participate in such events.
Guess something more needs to be done to attract and lure people to these events.

Nope, didnt get approval, but guess what, got my very first soft LUD on my 485 (didnt ever get one, not even after FP)..so i was maha excited that my 485 app itself has not been lost in the madness thats USCIS...

Last week I attended a seminar from Fairfax County police dept and their first message was to put all gold in bank lockers and when asked how these buglers know which house belongs to Indian family ?
There reply : You guys, mostly, put your GOD ( mostly Ganesha ) photo on the entry door and it makes them identify your house.
Also, its a known fact that Indians, mostly, won't subscribe for any security services since women are home makers and they think it as waste of money in these services. And lastly, Indians never buy / keep any weapon at home.

You pick the randomized approval window: a week, a month of a year. You get to decide how long this fake approval torture lasts.So if you choose a month, you could get fake the approval email anywhere between now and a month from now... our system randomly decides when....

Well, if someone doesn't receive these fake emails even after their email registration, whom should we contact? Is there a Fakeopass (like Infopass) office to contact? :D

These amounts, which range from $30 to $60, will enable millions of individual taxpayers to request the telephone tax refund without having to dig through old phone bills.
In general, anyone who paid the long-distance telephone tax will get the refund on their 2006 federal income tax return. This includes individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations. The 2006 return is usually filed during 2007.
The standard amounts are based on the total number of exemptions claimed on the 2006 federal income tax return. The standard amounts are $30 for a person filing a return with one exemption, $40 for two exemptions, $50 for three exemptions and $60 for four or more exemptions. For example, a married couple filing a joint return with two dependent children (for a total of four exemptions) will be eligible for the maximum standard amount of $60.
�The easiest way for eligible taxpayers to get their money back is to use the standard amounts,� said IRS Commissioner Mark W. Everson. �These amounts save taxpayers from locating 41 months of old phone bills and analyzing these bills to determine the taxes paid. We believe the standard amounts are both reasonable and fair.�
