If you are considering working for Sharper Impressions painting... don't. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. They prey on those who don't have the money or the resources to fight them. They are not fair to their subcontractors. They sub out all of their work and screw most of them. They just know that another "sucker" will come around. They have "offices" in Columbus, Ohio, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Nashville, Colorado, Chicago, and Atlanta. I encourage you to not deal or work with them. Type in "Sharper Impressions Rip Off" and see what you come up with.

Hi All,
Please share your experience. This is quite urgent. My H1B(8+ year) is expiring, and my company is willing to file H1B with Engg manager role. My previous H1B or extension was files for software engineer. My GC(EB2) is filed as Software engineer, with PD as Jan 2006.
Questions
1) Now is it ok to file H1B with new title? What if H1B gets rejected?
2) How does this title change affect GC? Can the GC be cancelled because the title has changed or H1B gets rejected? The engg manager role is similar to software engneer role, except people responsiblities.
3) If the H1B gets accepted, then is there still a danger to GC? Do they verify GC papers before approving H1B?
Thank you, Raja

This might be little bit old, but I dont remember seeing a post on this. Employment-based immigrant visa fees almost doubled, Old fees $ 355, new fees $ 720 from July 13th. Does this mean USCIS will open the gates in Sept bulletin [to be released in August]?
New Consular Fees (http://travel.state.gov/news/news_5078.html)
Not applicable to most of us. You will pay $720 if you are doing your 485 through Consular Processing (I suppose).

AC21 is the only light at the end of the tunnel for doing such things. If you change employer before I-485 is filed and pending 180 days, all you will get will be your labor priority date. You will have to file labor and I-140 again with your new employer and when filing I-485 you can use your old priority date.
I hope this helps and good luck on your green card pursuit...

I recommend the Nikon 18-70 AF-S DX zoom in that price range. Right now I use the older 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom on my DSLR, and find that I frequently use the 24mm extreme and wish it went wider. If you do lots of interiors and don't need a very wide angle of view, then one of your suggested lenses would be better due to the larger aperture (keep in mind that 28mm on a DSLR equals the angle of view of a 42mm lens on film).
