Let me qualify by stating I don't have a D40x. There are a bunch of things you can do, depending on the specific problem. However, if you can set the autofocus points, then set the center point as the default. That way the camera will only focus on what's dead center in the lens.
You also need an aperature that will give enough depth of field. You don't necessarily need the whole shot in focus, just the right part of the shot. The exact aperature is going to depend on the size of lens you use. A telephoto will require a higher aperature than a wide angle lens to get more depth of field. I received email from USCIS this morning for my wife I-485 i.e Card Ordered for Production. I am the Primary applicant, but i am still waiting for my turn. My PD is Sep 2004 & EB2.
We booked our tickets to India before we received this email. I am travelling in 3rd week of Sep. We both have new AP's. So is i have to wait here in USA to receive the Card or can i proceed with my actual plan?. Can anybody share their expertise?.

i would say apply for the Eb2. I am on Eb3 right now and i will plan to apply for eb2 after Dec 2008.
I have 3 years degree (15 year education). I am not sure if I can file on EB2.
You have filed on EB3 & planning to file on EB2; could you please share the logic for this & why are you waiting end of 2008, please share the reason, so if needed I can also plan something like you.

Yes, same experience with us. The school had some evaluators and they are the only ones that are considered, so check with the university for the list first.

Hello members,
I had a non-traffic citation few years ago, which got dismissed and expunged. I do not have any documents relating to that incidence. I don't even recall the charges. I did background check with Sheriff's office which showed no records.
How should I present this on form I-485 (question about citation/arrest)?

I was out of status when my parents couldn't act fast enough to change my status. However, I faithfully maintained my status once I reentered with a student visa.
So here is the history:
Dec. 1986: Enter the US on a tourist visa (age 15)
June 1987: Out of status from the tourist visa
Sept. 1996: IIRIRA 96 passes-- 3yr./10yr. reentry bars apply effective April 1, 1997
July 1997: Obtain I-20 for school, leave the US and return to home country (age 26)
Aug. 1997: Reenter US on a F-1 visa
Oct. 00: Initial H-1B
Oct. 03: H-1B extension
Dec.04: RIR filed (priority date)
Sept.06: RIR approved
Oct. 06: H-1B (7th year) extension
Jan. 07: I-140 filed (pending approval)
July 21, 2007: Preparing to file I-485 with the same employer since 2000
So here are my questions:

I find that fireworks mx is really cool for doing what you are trying to do if you can get your hands on it. Oh yeah and I think you should antialias the text a little bit. If you want honest opinions....I think the image could use a little jazzing up....Try this:
Find a nice big panoramic image like of a beach or something.. Then give it a real big gaussian blur (so that you cannt recoginze what it was)......U should already notice it looks similar to a gradient. 2. The give it a strong motion blur to the left or right (to soften the image) 3. Then do a an adjustment...hue.....and play with the saturation and settings. (You should have a pretty nice gradient looking abstract at this point). 4. Then duplicate the layer and play with that layers blend mode. I find luminosity to be cool but find one to suit your needs. That will make your text and image seem more interesting....right now it looks kinda dead in the water......I find gradients by themselves to be boring this day in age (most of the time). Let me know if you need a more indepth tutorial....this one was kinda weak but....hey

Hello everyone,
I know this topic is taboo and probably raised eleswhere, but I couldn't help wonder one thing.
The BECs have shut down and no more LCs are pending. Also labour substitution is not allowed anymore. So does that not mean that from this point onwards we should NEVER see the priority dates retrogress any further? I mean isint that logical or am I missing something major? Until now, the pending LCs in the BECs were hanging like a sword over our heads, but now that problem is gone (i know a lot of people have suffered over the years for the same and I respect that).
I guess my question is: Is there ANY possible reason for the PDs for any country to further retrogress?

DMV laws vary from State to State. When I lived in CA they gave me 5+ yrs of DL but In my home state of Minnesota DMV puts status chek date on the DL which is the date of the I94 expiration. They send a letter at home to show the proof of extension otherwise the DL will be cancelled. I am planning to get it extended by using EAD (i haven't received EAD yet and my H1b extension is being applied). I read on Murthy's site that using EAD for DMV pupose doesn't affect the H1b status.
